It applies optical method (laser) to measure the concentrations of dust in air: Launch laser into the suspended particulate matters to make scattering and simultaneously collect the scattered light, the microprocessor applies MIE principle to derive equivalent grain size and the amount of particulate matters in different size in unite volume, and then the mass concentration of particulate matters in different size.

It can be used to measure concentrations of PM_2.5, PM_2.5 in ambient air for environmental protection, hygiene, working place, safety inspection, military, scientific research, education and other departments.
